GIDDY UP.....LET'S GO!!!!
As we enter 2026, we are entering the Year of the Horse. A powerful sense of transformation and change is in the air. The shedding is complete, the year of the snake is complete. We are no longer on the ground. We have elevated to a higher plane of consciousness. This brings a huge shift in awareness. The horse is ready. It's time to embark on the ride that awaits us. 2026 is the year of the horse. The question is: How prepared are you?
For Treading 2 Light, 2025 ended symbolically, with a harmless, Plain-bellied frozen snake on New Year's Eve. Instead of interfering, we decided to energetically connect with the snake, acknowledge its medicine, and allow it to return to its natural environment. This act of honoring and assisting the snake in its awakening mirrors the journey we are all undertaking. Where are you in your awakening?
Restoration is a major theme for this year. Things are being restored in ways that go beyond possibility. I call these moments supernatural breakthroughs. Growing pains can be intense. Yet, the unfolding is beautiful, with powerful changes ahead. Gifts are coming online, and burdens are being released. This is powerful!
Two years ago, a shamanic healing session led to a profound experience in which energies were transmuted, and stagnant energy was released. Previously, it seemed I would store residuals from the session. I was hesitant about who my clients would be and if I could continue with this work. Then, everything shifted. It wasn't done externally, but an activation within, enabling the natural flow of spirit and the release of energy from the body. Thus, an Inner transformation, as I shift into a healing vessel for my Lord Jesus Christ.
This journey requires complete awareness, presence in the moment, and setting intentions in everything we do. Simple tasks, such as eating and drinking, or taking out the trash, will begin to look and feel different. Each step forward is fueled with purpose. This is a collaboration between the heart/brain. Here are some practical ways to help prepare for 2026, the Year of the Horse. Let's focus on momentum, freedom, and forward movement.
1. Clarify direction
- 1-3 goals you want momentum on this year
- Break each into quarterly milestones and one next action
2. Build energy and resilience
- Prioritize sleep, regular exercise, and a simple, whole-food diet
- Add short daily grounding practices (prayer, breathwork, walking, brief meditation)
3. Create space for speed
- Declutter physical and digital spaces so decisions and actions flow
- Reduce commitments that drain you; protect blocks of focused time
4. Strengthen skills for quick pivots
- Identify 1-2 skills that multiply your impact (communication, time management, a technical skill) and commit to focused practice
- Practice rapid decision-making: set short deadlines for noncritical choices
5. Invest in relationships and alliances
- Reconnect with mentors, collaborators, and supportive peers
- Schedule regular check-ins to exchange opportunities and accountability
6. Financial readiness
- Build or top up an emergency fund (3-6 months if possible
- Review budgets, cut low-value spending, and create a simple plan for opportunity capital
7. Embrace an adventurous mindset
- Try one new thing every month (learning, travel, a creative project) to build adaptability and courage
- Reframe setbacks as data for course correction
8. Plan for visible progress
- Track wins weekly and adjust plans based on what's working
- Celebrate small milestones to maintain momentum.
9. Honor reflection and vision
- Spend time early in the year crafting a concise personal vision statement for what "ride" you want to take
- Do a mid-year check-in to realign
10. Practical logistics
- Update important documents, contacts, and tools so nothing stalls when opportunities arrive
- Automate routine tasks (bill pay, backups, reminders)
I will ask again:
How prepared are you?
Love & Light,
DESTINY
